Arches In Ballet?

I don't remember where I heard this, and I'm not even sure if it's true or anything like that... but I heard that theres like an average arch height like some amount of centimeters. If that is true, about how many centimeters high is the average arch ?

that's ridiculous. it's not like someone is going to get down on their hands and knees and measure your arch.

there might be an average but definatly not a requirement or anything.

don't worry about that because also your arch doesnt really matter if you dont have the muscles to hold it. just keep working on it and stretching your feet adn it will get better

Oh, there probably is an average, but as you get further in your dancing you will get a better arch. I don't think that I would worry about it, as long as you are happy with it, and you know it will get better.
I don't know if there is an average height of the arch. Most people have medium arches, where the outside of the foot touches the ground while the inside arch remains up.

You can always do exercises to help your arch be more flexible. Also shoe insoles and arch supports.

Also: Lower arches usually mean stronger ankles.

Good Luck
As long as you work hard at keeping your feet flexible and strong a number really doesn't matter.
