you know what i think? any guy who dances ballet would impress me. and in fact, it should impress every other girl. you know why? coz a guy who dares to admit that he does ballet shows that he's not only sensitive, but proves that he's a guy with guts. despite the fact that ballet is considered very 'gay'-ish to most people, you're a part of only a handful of guys who dare to admit that they do ballet. and I salute you for that. stand up for what you love!! should it matter to you whether or not people think that ballet makes you gay? even if they do, so what? they're the ones who are missing out on the lean muscles, tight butt and charming, slick moves on the dance floor!! so why let something which is their loss, annoy you? besides, from what i hear, guys who dance are generally better in bed!! haha. be proud of what you love. don't make some idiots a barrier to your passion.

well....i think that they are maybe sensative (which is good!) and intelligent in ways such as expressing themselves in art form!
i think it's sexy , but i like guys that dance and like it
I think it's cool. Dancing is art of the body they say. I totally give props to anyone who dances, because I can't! I really want to, and will maybe one day lol. Don't worry about those haters!
I think of the movie BILLY ELLIOT, and what a good feeling it gave anyone who watched it.

It really does not matter one bit what people think of you.

So what if they think you are straight, so what if they think you are gay. It makes no earthly difference to who you are, and must not really affect what you do with your life.

Ballet is a very physical activity that requires you to be as fit as any athlete - it is disciplined and rigorous, and not for the weak or faint-hearted. Not everyone knows this - but who cares? Do what you are good at and what you enjoy. The nice thing is that you will not have great difficulty - if you are good at it - to find a great job with some great people who will appreciate the fact that there is a world shortage of good male ballet dancers. You will find there are a lot of people who know how to separate what you do from your sexuality... they are not really related in the long run.

Are all computer programmers gay?

Are all teachers straight?

There is no such thing as an activity or career that requires a certain sexuality... oh well, okay - you have to be a drag queen in a drag queen show. But wait - in the movie The Adventures of Priscilla, the actors were doing a good job acting like drag queens, but I know for a fact they were not all that way inclined. What does that tell you?

Some of them may have had some people thinking they were - but so what?

But what about the feelings of those who are close to you and about whom you care? Mm - they will get used to it. If they are having difficulty at present with the image of ballet+boys, use the athlete image for a while in order to impress them with the difficulty, the routines, the discipline you must have in order to be the very best ballet dancer you can.

Don't deny anything too strongly - it's not worth it. Let people think what the heck they like. If you are asked a serious question by someone important to you, simply tell them the truth. "I'm straight," - no fuss or bother. It's their problem whether they believe you or not.

And good luck - I envy you your ability... and I'm a girl.

I have left you links to both movies.
I think it's cool, I don't think many guys dance ballet so it makes you unique. =)
naw. youre just the guy with the nice butt %26amp; legs im sure :)
Dancer guys get all the chicks. the ratio is like 30 to 1. my step-mom teaches ballet and the straight guys always have no problem getting ladies. It keeps you in excellent shape and flexibility. (which these other ladies seem to love). here is a link to a movie to prove my point: (i know this isn't realistic but it does prove the point.)

i mean its no big deal its just unexpected of a straight guy to do that but im open minded and i have heard of a couple straight guys doing it so whatever but you have to that most people will assume your gay thats just how people's minds work
We have guys at my ballet school and we girls just love them to death! they add so much humor to class.
I'm afraid in this society you will most likely get looked on as being gay, even if you're not, especially by people your own age that are male. There are many male dancers, some gay and some straight. I don't think it's gay, I think people that call male dancers gay are sexsist. If it is a girl being something you would call "manly" like a mechanic people would "bag" the girl. Just like in your situation people think that it's "gay" just because you're male. Who cares what they say, if you love it enough it wont matter to you. As long as your friends and family are there it doesn't matter what others say.
i think its hot!
