A pointe/ballet question- how do i get over my box in open 4th position?

I have good ankle flexibility, but my front foot is never over. Should I practice winging my feet more?

Maybe your box is too narrow or too big? You can stand on top of the box (without wearing the shoe). This will widen the box so your toes have more room. Careful: do not to stand right on the middle because that's the weakest part of the shoe. Winging is a good idea, see if it helps, if it isn't then stop, you don't want to "over" the winging.

winging yr feet more would help. also when yr in open 4th position try pushing yr ankle forward. when yr doin it just really think about and try 2 go over yr box, you will evenally get it just keep working on it and remember that it will take pratice :) GOOD LUCK and i hope this helps u!
i used to have trouble with that too...basically you just have to practice..try pushing your ankle forward and make sure your turned out...also theres a strech that a do that can help...sit on the ground with your knees bent and have someone hold on your feet...then slowy straighten your legs and hold it..this helps get on your box betterr
